When the way we amass capital resources
yields poverty in the world,
we deny God what belongs to God.
When the way we exploit natural resources
causes destruction in the world,
we deny God what belongs to God.
When the way we abuse human resources
produces suffering in the world,
we deny God what belongs to God.
When the way we invest capital resources
yields development in the world,
we give to God what belongs to God.
When the way we protect natural resources
causes flourishing in the world,
we give to God what belongs to God.
When the way we manage human resources
produces well-being in the world,
we give to God what belongs to God.
Loving God,
forgive us for failing to align
our life with our beliefs
and for denying the world
glimpses of your image.
Provident God,
help us to live in such a way
that the world may know
we pay tribute to you
first and foremost.

Cuando la manera como acumulamos los recursos capitales
rinde pobreza en el mundo,
le negamos a Dios lo que pertenece a Dios.
Cuando la manera como explotamos los recursos naturales
causa destrucción en el mundo,
le negamos a Dios lo que pertenece a Dios.
Cuando la manera como abusamos los recursos humanos
produce sufrimiento en el mundo,
le negamos a Dios lo que pertenece a Dios.
Cuando la manera como invertimos los recursos capitales
rinde desarrollo en el mundo,
le damos a Dios lo que pertenece a Dios.
Cuando la manera como protegemos los recursos naturales
causa florecimiento en el mundo,
le damos a Dios lo que pertenece a Dios.
Cuando la manera como manejamos los recursos humanos
produce bienestar en el mundo,
le damos a Dios lo que pertenece a Dios.
Dios amante,
perdónanos por no alinear
nuestra vida con nuestras creencias
y negarle al mundo
destellos de tu imagen.
Dios providente,
ayúdanos a vivir de forma tal
que el mundo sepa
que te rendimos tributo a ti
primero que todo.
