by Nathan Jumper
Hello! My name is Nathan Jumper and I am a summer intern with the Presbyterian Ministry at the United Nations. I am entering the final year of my Master of Divinity at Princeton Theological Seminary and plan to apply to PhD programs in Religious and Cultural Studies for Fall 2016.
My primary research interest concerns an analytics of power as it is manifested in forms of bodily violence and sexuality. My interest in the movements of bodies has led to more concrete and particular concerns, such as racial justice and gender equity. I feel very fortunate to be supporting the PC(USA)’s work toward international justice during this internship. My hope is that my time here will be a first step in a lifelong pursuit—both within the academy and in the public square—for an increasing peace and justice in the international community.
