I pray with many others tonight for our friend Antonio in Colombia. I had the privilege to meet Antonio during Easter week of 2010. He is a leader of an organization of people who have been internally displaced within Colombia. The oganization seeks to return people to land they can work for their living. His is risky work. He has received threats before.
Four days ago, Antonio disappeared.
Too many have been disappeared in too many places around the world. On August 30, the International Day of the Disappeared, I prayed for sisters and brothers unknown.
Tonight, I pray with sisters and brothers for Antonio, a brother I know.
