Send a message of peace to the Olympics

Tomorrow brings the opening ceremony for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Peacemakers are invited to participate in the 2010 Peace Project.

Send a message for peace that will be posted at the Memories Thrift Store in Richmond, Canada.

Memories Thrift Store is strategically located next to the “O Zone” Celebration Site (just south of the Olympic Oval). The store and its partners will serve as a Center for Peace with displays and special events concerning the things that make for peace: stability, food security, eradication of poverty, equality, and an end to violence.  In addition, we will bring messages of peace from around the world to the Richmond and Olympic community.

The Presbyterian Peacemaking Program has sent a very simple message:

Seek peace and pursue it. Presbyterian Peacemaking Program.

If you make it to the games, look for it.

If you don't make it to the games (or if you do) share your message of peace.

Messages will be accepted and posted throughout the games.
