New PMAB board committees consider Stony Point sustainability

The Presbyterian Mission Agency Board (PMAB) continued its sessions today at the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky. The new board’s first meeting since the 223rd General Assembly (2018) featured a revised committee structure that better reflects the ecclesiastical nature of the board and places all committees under the “Programs” category or the “Administrative” category. Committees under the Programs umbrella include Mid Councils, Nurture the Body, and Outreach to the World. Committees that fall under the Administrative umbrella include Resource Allocation & Stewardship, Property & Legal, and Personnel & Nominating.

During the first meeting of the Presbyterian Mission Agency Board since the 223rd General Assembly (2018), the Revs. Joe Morrow, PMAB chair, and Warren Lesane, chair-elect, along with the Rev. Dr. Diane Moffett, the newly elected president and executive director of the Presbyterian Mission Agency (PMA), led the board through opening plenary and worship.

Presbyterian Mission Agency Board to hold first meeting since General Assembly

The Presbyterian Mission Agency Board (PMAB) will soon hold its first meeting since the 223rd General Assembly (2018), with new leadership at the helm. The Revs. Joe Morrow, PMAB chair, and Warren Lesane, chair-elect, along with the Rev. Dr. Diane Moffett, the newly elected president and executive director of the Presbyterian Mission Agency (PMA), will lead the board through their first meeting in Louisville on Sept. 27–29. In addition to Morrow, Lesane and Moffett, Ruling Elder Vilmarie Cintrón-Olivieri and the Rev. Cindy Kohlmann, the newly elected co-moderators of the 223rd General Assembly, will bring greetings along with General Assembly Stated Clerk the Rev. Dr. J. Herbert Nelson, II.

Martha Clark has announced her retirement from the Presbyterian Mission Agency. Clark serves as the General Counsel for the Presbyterian Mission Agency (PMA) and Office of the General Assembly (OGA), as well as the General Assembly, Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) A Corporation, Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Investment and Loan Program Inc. (PILP), Presbyterian Women in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Inc., Presbyterian Mission Agency Board and Committee on the Office of the General Assembly.
