At the 224th General Assembly in June, four new members were elected to the Presbyterian Foundation’s Board of Trustees. At the June Board of Trustees meeting, the trustees elected the Rev. Dr. Neal Presa as Chair and Bridget-Anne Hampden as Co-Chair. Also, the Rev. Warren Lesane, Jr., Chair of the Presbyterian Mission Agency Board of Directors, joined the Foundation board as an ex-officio member.
The longtime senior pastor of C.N. Jenkins Memorial Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, and a former pastor there who’s now a designated pastor in West Philadelphia were reunited Wednesday during a Facebook Live half-hour event called “Mentoring in Ministry.”
In its continuing effort to provide congregations with practical help on financial matters, the Presbyterian Foundation has launched a planned giving module on the Stewardship Navigator.
“We may be physically distant,” the Rev. Dr. Derrick McQueen said at the opening of his Facebook Live appearance Wednesday with the Rev. Dr. Lee Hinson-Hasty, “but we’re always spiritually close.”
The Rev. Dr. Glen Bell, an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) with 30 years of experience, joined the Presbyterian Foundation on Aug. 31 as Senior Vice President of Development.
The Rev. Dr. Mindy Douglas had her heart set on studying biology followed by a career as a geneticist when she entered college. But, as she says, “God did a little God thing,” and she was called into ministry.
