MRTI supports climate change declaration

As the fifth anniversary of the signing of the Paris Agreement nears, the faith-based investing and corporate engagement arm of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has joined 1,500 U.S. entities in signing a letter affirming a commitment to global climate action.

Mid Council Financial Network announces virtual conference set for Dec. 14-15

The Mid Council Financial Network (MCFN) — the only entity that serves the needs of the volunteer and paid staff who work with finances in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)’s 170 presbyteries and 16 synods — is preparing to hold its annual program, virtually, December 14–15, from 12:30-4:30 p.m. Eastern Time each day.

New members join Presbyterian Foundation Board of Trustees

At the 224th General Assembly in June, four new members were elected to the Presbyterian Foundation’s Board of Trustees. At the June Board of Trustees meeting, the trustees elected the Rev. Dr. Neal Presa as Chair and Bridget-Anne Hampden as Co-Chair. Also, the Rev. Warren Lesane, Jr., Chair of the Presbyterian Mission Agency Board of Directors, joined the Foundation board as an ex-officio member.

A Facebook reunion

The longtime senior pastor of C.N. Jenkins Memorial Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, and a former pastor there who’s now a designated pastor in West Philadelphia were reunited Wednesday during a Facebook Live half-hour event called “Mentoring in Ministry.”
