Wiley offers insights into Ash Wednesday and Lenten practices and history

LOUISVILLE – As part of an ongoing series designed to engage Presbyterians in conversation and learning around Christian festival days and secular holidays, the Office of Theology and Worship continued its new Facebook Live series yesterday featuring the Rev. Dr. Charles Wiley III, coordinator for Theology and Worship.
On Ash Wednesday, March 1, at 3 p.m. EST, Wiley was live on the PC(USA) Facebook page to speak briefly and respond to questions about the Christian festival from a Reformed perspective and to explore a variety of spiritual practices appropriate for the Lenten season.
The video is available for viewing on the PC(USA)’s Facebook page.
The next Facebook Live broadcast — in which Wiley will reflect on Holy Week and Easter — is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, at 3 p.m. EDT.
