Hi there, my name is Sarah Bridges. I use she/her/hers pronouns. I am from Charlotte, NC. I’m 26 years old and a graduate of Elon University. I have my Bachelor’s degree in Public Health. I heard about the YAV program through my older cousin who is part of the Presbytery. While I didn’t grow up in the Presbytery I did grow up in a Christian home. I have also worshiped in a Presbyterian church before. I am engaging in this YAV year because I want to know God’s purpose for me. I have been through some challenging times the last few years and I want to reinvent myself in this community. I also want to engage because I think there is a lot to unpack about today’s day and age and having the tools accessible to unpack is essential. This YAV program does the job of giving us these tools.
