My name is Sam Shin, and I am a 20-year-old currently living in Virginia. Both of my parents were born in South Korea, and I was born in Wisconsin. I have moved all over the place in Illinois, Massachusetts and Virginia. Before joining YAV, I was a student at Johns Hopkins University, studying chemical engineering. My hobbies include almost every sport, video gaming, Korean culture and a weirdly vast genre of music. Thanks to my parents, I’m a Christian and have attended church my entire life. I’m so happy and excited to be a part of the D.C. team. I look forward to exploring even more D.C. than I thought I was familiar with, and encountering new people along the way.
