My name is Ross Hartmans. I am a 20-year-old undergrad working toward a degree in engineering studies. I was drawn to the YAV program because I want to help other people. I am passionate about learning about how those around me live and work. I hope I am able to learn from those I encounter and through these relationships help to better myself and the world around me. I feel like most the of problems in this world come from misunderstanding one another and then fearing those differences. I hope that by talking with friends and strangers, I will better understand those differences and work toward changing the world for good. I also hope to build up a better relationship with God through my YAV experience and share the joys and sorrows of others on the journey of life.
