My name is Lisett Cruz. I’m 22 years old and was raised in Cartersville, GA. I graduated from Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Global Affairs. I’d previously worked with Wesley of Macon to help serve students and the community. In doing this kind of work, I was presented with many opportunities to grow and discern further what I was being called to do next in my life. I found that one of the things that I am passionate about is being there for not just my neighbor, but for others who might be considered strangers. I think that it is important to work together in tackling social justice issues that are facing us. I am hopeful that during my year of service in Tucson, Arizona, I can learn to build meaningful relationships, listen to the voices ignored and strengthen my walk with Christ.
