My name is Allie Fuller and I am a 22-year-old recent graduate of Northwestern University, where I studied psychology and gender and sexuality studies. I am originally from Wellesley, Massachusetts, where I was first introduced to faith-based service through my church youth group. In a world that teaches us that in order to succeed we must compete against each other, service provides an alternate route. I believe that service, if done with humble intentions and an open heart, has the potential to cultivate the kind of empathy and compassion that can heal the world. This is why I serve.
A little about me: I love crystals and stones, journaling, marveling at plants, coming up with nicknames for my dog, Dungeons and Dragons, hiking, and games of UNO that get way too real. As an aspiring faith leader, I am deeply interested in the way that the Spirit moves through social justice advocacy. I could not be more grateful and enthused to spend the upcoming year serving with the Young Adult Volunteer (YAV) program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I pray for this year to be filled with growth, joy, challenges, faith and light!
