My name is Jordan Heinzel-Nelson. I grew up in a small town called Allentown, New Jersey as the daughter of a Presbyterian minister. The church has always been a central part of my life and the life of my family. When I was ten, my family served in for a year in Malawi, Africa which precipitated the creation of Villages in Partnership, a development organization. I then took a gap year when I was 18 and did service in Salvador, Brazil. While at University, service came closer to home as I worked in racial justice by tutoring in prisons and becoming a founding member of my church’s Working Group for Racial Justice. While I studied computer science, I love to read, learn and engage in conversation. I also play the violin and love to contribute to worship through music. I am so excited to be living in Dundee next year!
