The Rev. Shawn Kang is the Central Region associate for 1001 New Worshiping Communities. In this position, Shawn is a resource for new worshiping communities and leaders in 15 states and 43 presbyteries.
Shawn joined the 1001 church-planting initiative in November 2017 and is amazed at the number of new, creative and Spirit-filled communities that have started. Shawn is eager to continue the tremendous work being done through the 1001 initiative.
Shawn and his wife, Sanghee, a research nurse at MD Anderson Cancer Center, have three daughters: Samantha, 16, Sarah, 13, and Sophia, 11.
