Northeast Georgia Presbytery

Northeast Georgia Presbytery has a new program to help address the Matthew 25 focus of dismantling structural racism. As we have become aware that 80% of Black churches within the PC(USA) do not have an installed pastor, we have budgeted Matthew 25 funds through our Congregational Connections Committee to provide stipends to people of color from our presbytery who are attending seminary. The committee adopted a policy to administer these funds, and we are so pleased that we have awarded a stipend to our first applicant. We pray that this stipend will be a blessing to him as he prepares for ordained ministry in Christ’s church.
