American Climate Metrics Survey: Presbyterian Church (USA)

In coordination with Blessed Tomorrow, a Presbyterian Church (USA) partner through the Presbyterian Hunger Program, the denomination invited members (laity and clergy) to participate in a survey to
determine their attitudes and behaviors on climate change.

The survey, fielded September 7-28, 2018, was part of a national survey sponsored by ecoAmerica and Blessed Tomorrow. The survey yielded 413 responses.

PC(USA) respondents self-selected and may not reflect a representative sample of all church
members. Some notable  demographics of the sample:
• 90% consider themselves white/Caucasian and 1% consider themselves Hispanic/Latino
• 89% hold a college degree or greater
• 64% are women  and 31% are men
• 28% are clergy (25% active and 3% retired) and 72% are laity

The resulting report highlights PC(USA) results and comparisons to a representative national sample of U.S. adults. Read the summary here.
