2010 Eco-Stewards Program

Are you an 18-24 year old with a heart for service, who feels a personal or professional call to be a steward of God's Creation? The Eco-Stewards program is actively recruiting passionate, dedicated young people to join our team of inspired citizens, pastors, camp directors, and environmental professionals to help plan the 2010 Eco-Stewards Program in southern West Virginia. Our intention is to co-create an 8-day program with a core group of 18-24 year olds that is attentive to where God is working – through people and places – in southern West Virginia. We will learn from and work alongside Christians who are answering God's call to protect and restore local communities, mountains, streams, and human relationships. And, perhaps we might experience God directly as we raft the New River or walk silently in the woods. Or as we pore over Biblical verses that remind us that "The Earth is the Lord's and everything in it" (Psalm 24:1) and to "Love your neighbor as yourself." If you or someone you might know would like to be part of this planning process – *especially 18-24 year olds* – please do not hesitate to contact Rev. Rob Mark at robfirstpres@gmail.com or Heather Lukacs (local West Virginia based contact) at luka@stanford.edu. Please contact us ASAP to join the planning team.

The Eco-Stewards Program is a partnership between Presbyterians for Earth Care and the Presbyterian Church Camp and Conference Association. You can read more at the Eco-Stewards website.
