Community Health Evangelism (CHE) is a training initiative that addresses the needs of the whole person – physical, spiritual and emotional. CHE uses an integrated training process that combines community development, health, evangelism and discipleship to reach out and transform communities. CHE training focuses on equipping individuals and communities to identify and address community issues using local resources. Community initiatives that arise out of CHE training include clean water, kitchen gardens, improved sanitation, pig farms, discipleship groups, community schools, immunizations, addressing issues of alcoholism and gender violence. Partner churches in Africa have begun implementing CHE in their communities and need support in covering the cost of trainings and providing on-going mentorship to new CHE communities. (E052180)
