Presbyterian News Service takes a two-week break to welcome the Christ child and the new year

LOUISVILLE — Friday, Dec. 16 marks the Presbyterian News Service’s final day of scheduled publication for 2022. To date it’s been our pleasure and great privilege to help bring readers 1,277 stories of interest to members and friends of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and beyond.

Our deep thanks go to the many partners who have delivered stories and videos to readers and viewers — and, in the case of podcasts, listeners. Those partners include, but are not limited to, the Office of the General Assembly, including the Presbyterian Historical Society; our colleagues in the Presbyterian Mission Agency; the Administrative Services Group; mid councils from across the country; Presbyterians who support and advocate for each other and their causes; the Presbyterian Foundation; the Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.); seminaries and other institutions of higher learning; the many contributors to Presbyterians Today; and thousands of churches and worshiping communities who are doing the faithful work of kin-dom building in the community where God has planted them. Your efforts, especially as we move ahead in what we trust will be a post-Covid world, are inspirational and often under-appreciated.

We’ll interrupt our two-week hiatus to post stories as significant developments occur. Read stories as they’re reported at pcusa.org or presbyterianmission.org. We plan to resume our coverage on Jan. 3, 2023.
