1001 NWC Residency at Harbor Online Community

We are a community in which everyone belongs to each other and to God as we choose to live together into the reality of God’s kingdom “on earth as it is in heaven.” Every person who desires to belong here does—all races, sexualities, genders, nationalities, and even religious beliefs—because our God desires every single person who bears God’s image.

Our weekly gatherings are online (Zoom). This isn’t how we started and was never our intention, but we’ve discovered some amazing benefits to online community.

An important part of our online gatherings is the sharing of sacred stories. Most weeks, one member of our community shares part of their journey with us, and we commit to listen attentively and ask questions.

We strive to be a post-evangelical, dialogical and inclusive community.

We are seeking a Co-Pastor/Resident of Harbor Online Community to support the mission to connect people to each other and to God, love each other compassionately, explore what it means to follow Jesus, and work together for justice and peace. The pastor would embrace, and seek to innovate, Harbor’s distinctive ministry approach marked by an online format, dialogical content, post-evangelical theology, and vulnerable relationships.  The role will include joining Co-Pastor Jon in the work of introducing new people to Harbor, caring for the people who participate there, building the strength of the online community, and facilitating the Zoom gatherings.  The co-pastor will also serve in seeking to expand the presence and engagement of Harbor in the online world of ex-evangelical community and dialogue, and to champion expressions of Christian faith that place belonging before belief.
