Women's Leadership Institute/Young Women's Leadership Event

June 13 & 14, 2014

This event is designed for all women throughout the church in leadership roles, including young and immigrant women who already are and those who will be leaders in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).  The Theme of the conference is “An Abundance of Power: Vulnerability and Power.”  This event will address issues faced by women as well as explore the relationship between vulnerability and power.  Participants will tap into their inner strengths and be empowered and strengthened on their path to become more effective transformational and visionary leaders as God has called them to be. 

Schedule:
The event will start with Lunch at 12:00 noon on June 13, 2014 and will conclude after the Women’s Orientation Breakfast from 9:00 -10:30 AM.  Click the below icon to download a flyer.

Keynote Speakers: 

The Rev. Dr. Laura Mendenhall has served Christ’s ministry as youth Leader, missionary, educator, teacher, associate Pastor/pastor in four congregations, president of Columbia Seminary, and pastor of a new congregation. 

 

 

 

 

The Reverend Laura Mariko Cheifetz serves as the Executive Director of Church & Public Relations at the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation. She received her M.Div. from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, and her MBA from North Park University in Chicago. She is an ordained Teaching Elder in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A). She enjoys spending time with friends over food, exploring whichever region in which she happens to live, and still believes The Wire is the greatest television show in history.
