I was adopted as a newborn from Tegucigalpa, Honduras and moved to New Brunswick, NJ and later Atlanta, GA where I live now. My current home church is Central Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, GA. I recently just graduated in May from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Marketing. While at GSU I discovered a passion for business marketing in the social justice/civic engagement field. I also further expanded on my love for getting involved in the community where I live and helping others. Although a child of two ministers, I was able to grow into my own faith and discover what Christianity means to me on my own. I consider myself an open minded extrovert with passion and good humor.   I  believes peace is possible in the world through Christ. In August I will begin my exciting time as a YAV in Belfast, Northern Ireland serving part time with Fortwilliam and Macrory Presbyterian Church working with their local youth as well helping the church with different publications, Vine Centre working with different programs with all age groups, and with the WAVE Trauma Centre working with those who have been bereaved, injured or traumatised as a result of the conflict in Northern Ireland all placements I are located in the northern part of Belfast.

The Young Adult Volunteer program is a year-long service program for young adults between ages 19 and 30. Read more about the YAV program here

  • It has been such a pleasure to be with you as you have grown up. In many ways you are one of my children. I am so excited for you and know that you will serve with great love and enthusiasm. I can't wait to hear more after you get there by Paul Osborne on 08/05/2013 at 8:55 p.m.
