“Surely the Lord is in this place!” Gen. 28:16

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. (Corinthians 12:4-7)

Office of Vocation Transition and Reconfiguration

As of March 2013 the Office of Vocation has transitioned from living as a shared ministry of the Presbyterian Mission Agency and the Office of the General Assembly to be wholly a part of the Office of the General Assembly.  This coincides with the reorganization of the Office of the General Assembly.  More information about the restructured Office of the General Assembly can be found here.

Along with Constitutional Services and Mid Council Relations, Vocational Ministries (formerly the Office of Vocation) is a part of of the newly formed Mid Council Ministries team in the Office of the General Assembly.  As well, several ministries formerly part of the Office of Vocation have moved to other ministry units of the Presbyterian Mission Agency.

  • In the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen. I'm a South Sudanese American who narrowly escaped Juba massacre of Nuer tribe last December. In fact, Nuer community represented 90% of Presbyterian followers in the whole nation. Upon the out-broke of war, the South Sudan government army (SPLA), national security, Uganan army and the Sudanese rebel groups have been commanded by the president to carry out massive killing of all Nuer tribe men, women, children and elderly, as result, thousands of people have lost their lives and ninety percent of Nuer population have taken refuge in UN bases around the country where there have no clean drinking water, food, shelter, and no school for kids. The life become meaningless due to the fear of being killed, widespread of cholera, malaria, TB, malnutrition, and babies are dying every minute. As members of Presbyterian church, We ask Presbyterian General Assembly to pray for South Sudanese Presbyterian church members who are dying every day under Kiir brutal regime. God bless PGA.
