Your generous gifts to this Special Offering help provide relief those affected by natural disasters, provide food to the hungry, and assist in helping to empower the poor and oppressed.

Your gift to One Great Hour of Sharing will support the following:

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance  |  Presbyterian Hunger Program  |  Self-Development of People

When is the One Great Hour of Sharing offering received?

Most congregations receive the offering on Easter Sunday, Passion/Palm Sunday or both, while many receive it throughout Lent—however, you can help sustain the important PC(USA) ministries and programs that are supported by the One Great Hour of Sharing Offering by making an online gift at any time throughout the year.

  • I'm so glad you posted the link to the downloadable clipart as I, too, have been unable to find it (still haven't come across the "for pastors and other church leaders" page.) This is the most frustrating and UN-user-friendly site that I, as church secretary, need to use. by Karen on 03/01/2012 at 2:23 p.m.

  • Hi Cheryl, I'm sorry you're having difficulty navigating the website. We've been working hard to make this a much more user-friendly environment. That said, if you click on the "ideas and resources for promoting OGHS..." link above, you should be able to find what you're looking for. If not, you can go to the main special offerings page (http://pcusa.org/specialofferings) and click on the "download resources" link in the One Great Hour of Sharing section. Hope this helps! by Jordan Whitt on 02/29/2012 at 1:10 p.m.

  • I love One Great Hour of Sharing! And try to promote it in my church. But this website is extremely frustrating - it is very difficult to find the resources i need for promotion, children's times, etc. Every time I find OGHS on the website and click on it, it takes me to the place where I can give to OGHS. For the purposes of promoting the offering in our churches - this is not helpful. This time of year, when churches are working on promoting the offering why isnt' there a link on the PCUSA home page to take us directly to the resources? Sorry to sound so negative, but I am troubled that so much effort was put into this "new" PCUSA website, and it still isn't all that helpful... by Cheryl on 02/29/2012 at 1:06 p.m.

  • Thanks, Carol. We're still working on the PC(USA) OGHS videos for this year, but they should be out pretty soon. We think you'll really like them! by Jordan Whitt on 02/29/2012 at 11:08 a.m.

  • Thanks for taking care of that so quickly, Jordan. It's a lovely video. by Carol Thomas on 02/29/2012 at 11:00 a.m.
