Register now for the Gathering!

Minnie in bus headed for Minneapolis

Registration for the 2015 PW Churchwide Gathering is now open! Click here to register.

Tip: Be prepared to create a username and password to use the online registration. (If you've registered for past PC(USA) events, like Big Tent, you will use the same username and password.)

The Gathering will be held June 18–21, 2015 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The theme of the Gathering is “One Body, One Spirit,” based on 1 Corinthians 12:12–27. As always, workshops, plenary sessions, worship, mission opportunities  and all Gathering programming will explore the theme in the context of a diverse, faithful sisterhood. Full registration for the event is just $395 (less than in 2012!), plus lodging and transportation. Learn about registration options and see the daily schedule.

If you have registered for the Gathering and have not received a Gathering registration confirmation, please contact Patricia Longfellow by email or phone, 844/797-2872, ext. 8015. Please spread the word to others you know who are attending the Gathering. (This is for Gathering registration only, not hotel registration.) Thank you!

Step out for justice and peace!

Participate in the PW March for Justice and Peace at the Churchwide Gathering, Saturday, June 20, 2015, in Minneapolis. The march will be held from 5 to 6 pm. If you are attending the Gathering, gather in the courtyard at Westminster Presbyterian Church, just one block from the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis (where the Gathering is being held). If you won't be at the Gathering, sponsor someone who will be. Pledges will benefit CARE and Presbyterian Ministry at the UN. Download the pledge form here.

Donate to the silent auction

Once again, the Gathering will include a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting the Mission Pledge. If you or your group would like to donate an item or collection of items, know that you'll be supporting Presbyterian Women. All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Mission Pledge. Items donated to the silent auction should be new and have a minimum value of $25. Handmade items attract many bidders! At the Gathering, bidding will take place in the Activities Hall beginning at 5 pm on June 18, and concluding at 6 pm on June 19. Read more about the silent auction. To donate to the silent auction, download a form and submit by June 1. If you have questions about donating an item, please email Katie Blume.

Mission scrapbook project

Help us prepare an online mission scrapbook! Bring a 12″ x 12″ scrapbook page to the Gathering that highlights PW mission! Include pictures and text that tell us about the project—when, where, why, who, how and so on. On the back of the page, include the name of the church, presbytery or synod that worked on the mission project; the name, email and phone number of a contact person; and a signed photo release form for individuals in the photos.

Congregations may submit one page; presbyteries and synods may submit up to three pages, with contact information on each page. Bring your scrapbook page to the PW space in the Activities Hall. The pages will be displayed during the Gathering. The pages will not be returned to you; instead, they will be digitized and shared in an online mission scrapbook.

African American Clergywomen’s retreat

An African American Clergywomen’s Retreat will be held in Minneapolis, just before the Churchwide Gathering of Presbyterian Women. This will be an opportunity for African American clergywomen to come together for spiritual renewal, development and support in a sacred environment where they will be nurtured and encouraged as they live out their call. The event takes inspiration from Mark 6:31:“He said to them, ‘Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while.’”

The retreat will be June 17–18, 2015 at the Hilton Minneapolis. Thanks to generous underwriting from offices in Racial Ethnic & Women’s Ministries, the cost for this event (including hotels and meals) plus a one-day Gathering registration (Friday) is $100.

To learn more or register, contact Lonnie Oliver by email or phone, 502/569-5697. Additional information is available through the African American Congregational Support Office.
