Responding in Sparks, Nevada

Members of the PDA National Response Team (NRT) are on the way to Sparks, Nevada. Joan Jeffers, Stated Clerk of the Presbytery of Nevada, said that within an hour of the shooting, PDA contacted Presbytery leadership to see if they needed anything.

Jeffers said “We were surprised by the swiftness of their response and very touched by their concern. Although the community has responded in an admirable manner, having a Christian response would be incredibly meaningful.”

“Please keep everyone involved in this incident in your prayers, especially the family of the two individuals who lost their lives."

The Pastor of Spanish Springs and Presbytery leadership ask that you also keep the community pastors in your prayers as they minister to those who are affected.

Spanish Springs Presbyterian Church will be helping to host the candlelight vigil for the victims of the Sparks Middle School shooting on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in front of Sparks Middle School.
