Explosion in East Harlem, New York
An explosion collapsed two buildings in East Harlem, New York, on Wednesday morning, March 12. The five-story buildings near 116th Street and Park Avenue housed apartments, a church and a piano store. Seven people are reported deceased, many were injured, and some are still missing.
PDA has been in contact with the Presbytery of New York City’s executive presbyter. The Chair of the Presbytery of New York’s disaster response task force is tracking the impact of the event, and churches in the area have been contacted to assess the impact on their local communities and members.
