I just graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, with a degree in Accounting and Marketing. I wanted to take a year off before going to graduate school and I felt called to participate in the YAV program. Unlike many of my peers, I don't plan on attending seminary. I just wanted to spend a year serving God in a community of need! I am going to be working with the middle school youth group at 4th Presbyterian Church in downtown Chicago, and I am going to be helping out in some fashion with PAWS, the largest non-profit animal shelter in Chicago.
The Young Adult Volunteer program is a year-long service program for young adults between ages 19 and 30. Read more about the YAV program here
