I am a small town southern guy who really doesn't belong in a small town. I am a graduate of Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C. with a degree in Biology. My ultimate goal is to pursue a career in the public health field working in International Medicine; however, I also plan to go to seminary one day. I have a huge passion for music especially singing and playing guitar. I love the outdoors and anything that involves making things (crafts, cooking, etc.). I am a huge movie buff and when it comes to clothes, I'm kind of obsessed.
My call to mission came while I was in college. My campus minister was someone who I truly look up to and she was a huge part in my wanting to work with college students. During my YAV year, I will be working with the Presbyterian Student Fellowship of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. I will be assisting in planning worship services, mentoring to college students, introducing them to social issues, and planning other events involving alumni and currently enrolled students. I am really excited about this year and so ready to be in Music City!!
The Young Adult Volunteer program is a year-long service program for young adults between ages 19 and 30. Read more about the YAV program here
