Hi! I'm Julianne Blaha and I will be a 2011-2012 YAV in Guatemala. I will be working in education with a mission called Common Hope. Common Hope partners with schools in Guatemala to help enhance and support education. I will work alongside a Guatemalan teacher and help provide one-on-one help for at-risk students. When I am not volunteering at Common Hope I will be building relationships with my host family and enjoying the diversity of our Creator through the Guatemalan culture! I cannot wait to see how the Lord guides me, stretches me and teaches me during this year in Guatemala!

The Young Adult Volunteer program is a year-long service program for young adults between ages 19 and 30. Read more about the YAV program here
