Hello! My name is Emily, and I'm from Staunton, Virginia. I graduated from college back in May, and I really felt that, after being in school for so long, my next year should be spent focusing my energies outward in service to God and neighbor. My search for such an opportunity led me to the Young Adult Volunteer program. I will be spending my YAV year in Atlanta working at the Atlanta Community ToolBank, a nonprofit that acts as a resource and support for other nonprofits by providing tools and supplies for their various projects. Along with being excited about the work ahead of me, I am also looking forward to living in intentional Christian community with local Atlantians and the other YAVs through the Dwell/YAV program.
