Worship materials on hunger

The Presbyterian Hunger Program has a materials for pastors to use at worship services including liturgies, prayers, hymns and more.

Worship Guide on Trade and Globalization
This worship guide includes a complete order of service about trade justice, which can be used in full or in part. Originally designed for the 2005 Global Week of Action but can be used any time. Download the guide.

Christian Vocation Sunday
The PC(USA) observes the Sunday before Labor Day as Christian Vocation Sunday. On this day it is appropriate for us to reflect on the church at work together with God. Below are several prayers you may wish to use during worship or for your own reflection.

Interfaith Worker Justice has prepared other resources for the Sunday before Labor Day.

Food Week of Action
World Food Day is October 16, and Food Week of Action is organized the week leading up to it. PHP and Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance have developed a bible study and liturgy to be used.

Service on World Hunger
The Presbyterian Hunger Program and Joining Hands welcomed five seminary students for a day in January 2011 as part of their J-term course, “Leadership in the Connectional Church,” through the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.  As a part of their coursework, the students produced this worship service resource.
