How to Become an Effective Organizer and Advocate

Led by Sung Yeon Choi-Morrow from Interfaith Workers Justice

In a daylong training, participants learned what organizing is and how it is different from advocacy. Participants learned about when to use which approach and what is the most effective way to get involved in the movement for social change from a Christian perspective. Through story telling, role-plays and case studies, we learned how to engage in effective advocacy from a biblical perspective as well as why as Christians, we must organize. The day was broken up into 4 main sessions:
