Fellowship of the Least Coin

Fellowship of the Least Coin links prayer and "least coins" in a very significant way, as the least coin becomes the symbol of prayer for peace and reconciliation. It was begun in 1956 by Shanti Solomon of India and continues today as a global ecumenical prayer movement. As the coins, symbolizing prayers, are gathered from around the world, they become a sign of our oneness in the common quest for peace, justice and reconciliation. The least coins become grants for special projects of evangelism, service, ecumenical solidarity, awareness-building among women and relief throughout the world.

The generosity of Presbyterian women and their families and congregations, as demonstrated through their Birthday Offering gifts, helps chosen recipients find real solutions for projects related to health, education, economic development and the needs of women and children.

Presbyterian Women Mission Pledge

The PW mission pledge may be best defined as "an expression of passionate stewardship" or perhaps "caring made tangible in joyful response to God's generous love for creation." The PW mission pledge, an annual pledge over and above tithes and other support to the church, funds the work of PW at all levels. The PW mission pledge is also a joyful expression of PW's covenantal relationship to the PC(USA), as the largest share of mission pledge monies goes to the General Assembly mission budget. Without the mission pledge, the church's ministry in the world would noticeably ...

Presbyterian Women Thank Offering

The Thank Offering has long been a tradition of Presbyterian Women. It has provided and continues to provide much-needed financial assistance to numerous worthwhile programs not included in ongoing General Assembly mission support. Each year, domestic and international projects are carefully and prayerfully selected by the Creative Ministries Offering Committee to help meet a crucial need. Forty percent (40%) of this offering is used to support hospitals and community health programs that place priority in helping the most needy members of God's community. The remaining sixty percent (60%) is used for new creative ideas for mission, undesignated in advance ...
