Telling our stories: young adults sensing God’s movement

God moves through our lives, touching us in ways that we notice and ways that sometimes seem less obvious. Many times we share those stories with those around us. Sometimes we keep them to ourselves. It is through the practice of telling our stories, though, that we grow in relationship with others and in relationship with God. When we share the ways that God has moved, we identify our own stories of God’s amazing love but we may also help another person identify God’s movement in their own lives.

Take some time to identify times that you sensed God’s movement in your life using these suggestions.

'Telling Our Faith Stories'

Our faith stories help to shape our identity as Christians, and sharing these stories can connect us with others and help us to see God at work in our lives and faith community. This Leader Reader by Nancy Ferguson, "Telling Our Faith Stories," discusses the ways that individuals and congregations can tell their faith stories and includes practical suggestions for how to begin the practice of storytelling in your church.
