Arthur Woodruff Kinsler

Arthur Kinsler, an ordained PC(USA) minister, is now retired but continues to fill this position as a volunteer, assisting the Presbyterian Church of Korea. He also teaches a college course and preaches at Yonsei University's global worship and in Korean congregations. Sue Kinsler assists with a sheltered workshop for people with disabilities, runs a program to feed young children in North Korea, and helps with medical needs. Art and Sue have served in Korea for more than 30 years.

Arunima AIDS Hospice

A ministry of the Diocese of Kolkata in the Church of North India (CNI), the Arunima AIDS Hospice provides holistic care for individuals living with HIV/AIDS and their families. In addition to health care, the hospice offers educational programs and proper nutrition for residents and their families. Most of the residents have been sex workers whose shops were closed down. All are homeless and many flee to Arunima with their children for help.

Asian-American Ministries

According to 2000 Census, there are more than 11.5 million Asian-Americans living in the US. Less than five percent of the Asian population is Christian. Funding of this project will continue to strengthen those existing Asian ministries in PC(USA) -- Cambodian, Chinese, Filipino, Indian, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Taiwanese, Thai and Vietnamese. It will also help congregations to reach out and do evangelism to non-Christian Asians.

Associate For Development & Congregational Growth, Costa Rica

Rev. Stacey Steck, a long-term volunteer, is filling this position, serving at the invitation of the Costa Rican Presbyterian Church (IEPC, or Iglesia Evangelica Presbiteriana Costarricense), focusing on leadership development, strategic planning, and stewardship. He will also assist visiting mission teams and serve as half-time pastor of the Escazú Christian Fellowship, an English-speaking congregation in San José, Costa Rica's capital city.

The Church of Jesus Christ in Madagascar (FJKM) is a young church (founded in 1968) with an estimated 3.5 million members in congregations throughout Madagascar. Gifts to this project will be used for the sending and support costs of a mission worker to assist the leadership of the FJKM to develop workable and realistic program plans, to identify and allocate resources, and to build the capacity of staff members by offering training in relevant techniques and best practices, Janice Heckler has been called to this ministry.
