Since 1989, Drs. Les and Cindy Morgan have been PC(USA)'s only missionaries in one of the world's poorest and most densely populated countries, Bangladesh. They've served in hospitals and run village clinics. They've worked on controlling tuberculosis and leprosy. In August 2006, the Morgans relocated to the capital city of Dhaka, where they serve as advisors for the Church of Bangladesh health ministries.

These include efforts with specific populations such as elderly, mentally challenged, homeless families and others. Projects range from single-family homes to extensive apartment complex rehabs. The Urban Ministry Office provides technical assistance and seed grants for congregations engaged in affordable housing ministries.

Funds given to this project support the sending and support costs for the position of health consultant for Africa. The health consultant works with Christian health associations in eight countries where PC(USA) has historic partnerships: Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, Congo, Madagascar, and Cameroon. The position is currently filled by Frank and Nancy Dimmock. Based in Lesotho, Frank helps the associations to address common problems, such as retention of staff, recruitment of staff, and benefits packages.
