Congregational Twinning and Outreach to Minorities (Russia/ Central and Eastern Europe)
This project funds the sending and support costs of mission coworkers to work with two ministries. Ellen Smith coordinates the Congregational Twinning Project in Russia and Belarus, a program connecting interested congregations in the US with congregations in Russia and Belarus for mission and friendship. Al Smith works to expand the mission outreach of partner organizations and denominations to marginalized ethnic minorities, particularly Roma, in Russia and Central and Eastern Europe. The emphasis is on evangelism, community development, and human rights. The Smiths are based in Germany.
