Cameroon Christian College, also known as College Evangelique de Libamba, was the first secondary school to be opened for Africans in Cameroon. At one time the school was considered to be the "darling of the mission," and there were as many as 11 American Presbyterian missionaries on staff. It is now fully staffed by Cameroonians. While this represents a successful development of Cameroonian faculty, it has increased the burden of staff salaries to be borne by local sources. Campus Minister, Taiwan

Rev. Choon Lim and Yen Hee Lim serve with the Aboriginal College Ministry of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan (PCT), a work Choon initiated for the PCT. Choon works in Hualien with the campus ministries that he founded at two universities and four colleges. Yen Hee, a registered nurse, works at Bethesda, a handicapped children's center, and travels to remote mountain villages with a mobile clinic of the Mennonite Christian Hospital.

Care With Love: Training Providers For Home Health Care

Care With Love is a training program for home health care providers. It is now becoming an NGO for training and employment of all kinds of caregivers. Carpath Ukraine

The Reformed Church of the Carpath-Ukraine continues to rebuild from 75 years of communism. This ethnic Hungarian community in the Transcarpathian region of western Ukraine now has 100 congregations served by 50 pastors and recently expanded its engagement with PC(USA). Gifts will support new church development, theological training for pastors, ministry with Roma people, diaconal centers with outreach of soup kitchens, bakeries, and clothing and two Reformed high schools needing additional teachers, textbooks and facilities.

Casuta Noastra is a Christian foundation based in Iasi, Romania, and is focused on meeting the needs of the orphaned and abandoned children of Romania. The projects they carry out are involved in three areas: assisting in the de-institutionalizing of the state orphanages; assisting in the educational, social, emotional and spiritual development of institutionalized children and assisting the children in the transition from life in an orphanage to life in a family or on their own.

Cents-Ability

Rosellyn Calvert started the concept of putting 2 cents each meal in a bowl for the hungry not at the table. Presbyterian Women and congregations have taken this up and some groups do nickels or dimes per meal. Often 50% is used by the local congregation or presbytery and 50% is sent to the Presbyterian Hunger Program to be divided between national and international projects.

After 12 years teaching at Daystar University, Marta Bennett now serves on the faculty at Nairobi International School of Theology (NIST). She writes, "The African church is exploding, in numbers, in vitality, in holistic ministry, and in mission to the world beyond its own borders. It is a singing, dancing, praying, and praising church, living very close to the challenges and rawness of life, not blind to the context, but claiming God's healing and hope in the face of great odds." In addition to teaching and chairing the Leadership Studies Department, she is acting dean for postgraduate studies.
