“Truly this man was God’s Son!” —Mark 1:39

YAV National - Hollywood DOOR

The DOOR Hollywood YAV program is open to young adults, aged 19-31, looking to deepen their walk with Christ by living in an intentional Christian community while serving in a very direct way in our city. YAVs live at La Casa de la Comunidad, practice receiving and offering hospitality in a predominantly Latino/Hispanic neighborhood, and work to provide dignified care and attention to some of our 90,000 individuals living homelessly in LA County through full-time agency/ministry internships. YAVs discuss and wrestle with underlying causes of homelessness, from questioning the justice of existing social, legal, and medical systems, as well as engaging with Jesus' commandment to pay attention to those who are overlooked and ignored. Funds go towards the support of intentional community living expenses and supplies for ministry. More info here: &
